The Executive Board members are appointed by the Supervisory Board with FMSA's approval, for terms of no more than four years; they may be reappointed however. The Executive Board represents FMS Wertmanagement in and out of court.
Stephan Winkelmeier (Spokesman of the Executive Board)
Stephan Winkelmeier is Chief Executive Officer and Spokesman of the Executive Board of FMS Wertmanagement since September 2017. Before that, he already held the position of Chief Risk Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Spokesman of the Executive Board of FMS-WM since October 2015.
After studying business administration at the University of Passau Stephan Winkelmeier worked from 1994 to 2008 at UniCredit Bank AG in Munich and its predecessor, Bayerische Vereinsbank AG, where he held various positions, including Senior Risk Manager and head of the non-core unit. In September 2008, he took over the position of Chief Risk Officer on the Executive Board of Bank Austria Group in Vienna. In July 2010, he moved to the Executive Board of Bayerische Landesbank, where he held the position of CFO from April 2011 and then additionally of COO/CIO from August 2013, while also temporarily acting as CEO of the Internal Restructuring Unit.
Frank Hellwig (Member of the Executive Board)
Frank Hellwig is responsible as Chief Operating Officer especially for the service and staff functions within the FMS Wertmanagement.
After graduating in business administration, Frank Hellwig initially worked at Hypo-Bank AG before moving to HypoVereinsbank AG in 1998 as deputy director of group-wide accounting, management and controlling. From 2003 to 2009, Mr. Hellwig was a member of the Management Board at Hypo Real Estate Bank AG, where he was responsible for operations, personnel and finance, among others. Most recently, he was head of sourcing and corporate services at Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG, a position with global responsibilities. He also played a leading role in the formation of FMS Wertmanagement.
Christoph Müller (Member of the Executive Board)
Christoph Müller is Chief Risk and Chief Financial Officer at FMS Wertmanagement since 1 September 2017. Before that, he already held the position of Head of Risk Controlling, Finance & Portfolio Steering at FMS-WM since November 2010.
After studying business administration with a focus on banking at the University Villingen-Schwenningen, he worked from 1994 until 2001 as credit specialist and consultant for corporate customers at the Volksbank Dreiländereck and the Baden-Württembergische Bank in Lörrach.
After working three years for UBS AG in Zurich as a Transaction Manager in the field of Credit Portfolio Management, he moved on to Credit Suisse, Zurich, in 2004, where he held various leading positions in the units Credit Portfolio Management as well as Credit Risk Methods and Models.
