Dr. Tammo Diemer appointed to the FMS Wertmanagement Supervisory Board

Munich, 01 July 2015

The Federal Agency for Financial Market Stabilisation (FMSA) has appointed Dr. Tammo Diemer to the Supervisory Board of FMS Wertmanagement with effect from 1 July 2015.

Since the beginning of 2013, Dr. Diemer has been the Managing Director of Bundesrepublik Deutschland-Finanzagentur GmbH, which plans and implements Germany’s national debt management on behalf of the Federal government. Dr. Diemer, who holds a doctorate in mathematics, previously worked for Aareal Bank, where he held the positions of Managing Director and Head of Treasury.

Dr. Diemer succeeds Dr. Andreas Ricker, who had joined the Supervisory Board of FMS Wertmanagement as Head of Strategy at Bundesrepublik Deutschland Finanzagentur back in August 2010. “We would like to thank Dr. Ricker for his exceptional dedication, especially as Chairman of the Supervisory Board's Risk Committee, which took numerous important decisions in the past years,” said Jan Bettink, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FMS Wertmanagement. “We look forward to working with Dr. Diemer, who is an ideal fit for our Supervisory Board due to his expertise and many years of experience.”

FMS Wertmanagement was established in July 2010 for the purpose of taking over and unwinding the HRE Group’s risk positions and non-strategic operations in ways aimed at minimising losses. Favourable funding conditions in the capital markets are key to this endeavour. The Federal Republic of Germany is the sole owner of FMS Wertmanagement via the Financial Market Stabilisation Fund – FMS (SoFFin).
